Hrvatska bresina (Micromeria croatica) is a protected perennial herbaceous plant that grows in crevices of calcareous and calcareous-dolomite rocks, on stony grasslands in the mountains and foothills of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a simple stem covered with hairs that grows from 10 to 20 cm tall, while the leaves are also covered in hairs. Bisexual flowers grow on long and thin stalks gathered in inflorescences. The flowers are double, short and hairy with 5 equal pointed teeth. The bilabiate corolla is purple or crimson in colour, with four stamens attached to the tube of the corolla. It has one pistil and is propagated by seeds and division. (Željka Šaravanja)
