The white-throated dipper (Cinclus cinclus) is a bird from the passerine family and is unique among them because it can dive and swim underwater. It is small and stocky, has a short tail and short wings, but strong legs. It is most often dark brown or brown-white in colour. It inhabits freshwater habitats in higher areas, the banks of fast mountain rivers with cold and clear water. Their food is crustaceans, insect larvae, molluscs and small fish. (Željka Šaravanja)
