When the Moscow radio station on 12.4.1961 via radio waves transmitted sensational message about successful launch of the first man in the space, the news has cased tremendous attention and enthusiasm of the world public. This event marked a new era in the history of mankind and in space exploring. Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin (1934 - 1968) became the first man to travel into space. Gagarin has soared into space from the Baykonur Cosmodrome, located in a limited place of space capsule Vostok 1. During his journey into space he transmitted to flight control on earth his impressions about our planet and space. The famous Gagarin’s statement he said during his stay in space is "Orbiting around the Earth in space capsule, I saw how wonderful our planet is. People, preserve this beauty, let’s not destroy it.“ Gagarin’s space flight in Vostok 1 lasted 108 minutes, and in that time he completed a single orbit around our planet. Vostok 1 mission was completed successfully, the man soar into space for the first time, and then successfully returned to Earth. Gagarin became the hero of our planet, and his charisma and personality brought him international fame and publicity. After Gagarin’s accomplishment, the full rang of missions of researching human stay in space has followed. Through five decades of history of human presence in space from space race of superpowers till today’s International space Station, humanity especially remembers first pioneers of space researches among which Yuri Gagarin and his legacy to the world have a very special place.
